    1. The SPAR Loyalty Card scheme is operated by SPAR Head Office, Western House, Talbot Green, Pontyclun, CF72 8XX (“SPAR Head Office” or “we”). These Terms and Conditions apply to the use of the SPAR Loyalty Card (the “Card”) for the collection and redemption of loyalty points at the relevant participating outlet. Use of the Card will constitute acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.

    2. 1. Getting your SPAR Loyalty Card

      Applicants must reside in the UK and be aged 16 or over.
      The card is free of charge and can be obtained at this participating outlet only.
      It is not a credit charge and remains the property of SPAR Head Office.
      The card does not need to be registered prior to use, but any points obtained prior to registration cannot be redeemed until the card is registered. Registration can be done online via a simple application form – please visit www.afblakemore.com/spar/loyalty, or if you do not have access to a computer, please contact us at the address at the bottom of these Terms & Conditions.
      You are entitled to 1 card per person.
      You may cancel your card at any time but if you do so, you will forfeit the right to any points that have accumulated on the card that have not been used. We may ask you to return the card or to destroy it in accordance with our instructions.
      The card must not be sold or traded in any way.
      The card is your (the Cardholder’s) responsibility whilst it is in your possession. We cannot be held responsible for unauthorised use of the card or for any points lost as a result of failure by you to keep the card safe. Photocopies of cards will not be accepted.
      Please notify us of any lost or stolen cards at the address at the bottom of these Terms & Conditions.

    3. 2. Your Loyalty points

      Loyalty points can be accrued and redeemed against certain purchases made in this store only.
      Points cannot be accrued on the following purchases – tobacco; tobacco related products; postage stamps; lottery tickets; National Games and scratchcards; Paypoint; Payzone; any E top up or cashback. Other items may also be excluded from attracting points at any point by SPAR Head Office.
      The points will be earned at the time of purchase, provided the card is presented at the point of sale. If the loyalty machine is not working, you should still be able to accrue points but will not be able to redeem points against the current transaction.
      If you forget your card we cannot add points to your card at a later date.
      Points will accrue on the entire transaction (provided no excluded items are being purchased).
      Points can only be collected against purchases where a till and card reader is present.
      You can check how many points you have in the participating store as well as online at www.afblakemore.com/spar/loyalty.
      A card can hold an unlimited number of loyalty points.
      You will earn 1 point for each complete pound spent, so if you spend £1.99, you would accrue 1 point. We may however change the number of points you can collect and will display notices in the participating outlet, should this happen.
      You will also be able to redeem your loyalty points against future purchases at the participating store. The cash redemption value of each loyalty point is £0.01 (1 pence). The number of points used will be deducted from your card.
      When using your points to make a part of a full payment, all available points must be redeemed against the purchase.
      We will not exchange points for cash and reserve the right to remove from your card any points that have not been redeemed for over 2 years.
      We reserve the right to reject any cards which have become unreadable and also to refuse to redeem any points which have been acquired by theft, fraud, or any other means which are not in accordance with these Terms & Conditions, and the terms and conditions of any applicable promotion.

    4. 3. General

      SPAR Head Office can cancel or withdraw the card and or the scheme for any reason at any time on prior written notice to you. It can also change these Terms and Conditions. Please use the address details below or visit our website to obtain the latest Terms and Conditions.
      This card is only valid in the named participating store, therefore, points can only be accrued & redeemed at this store; unless the owner is a multi-site owner and has decided to extend the functionality of the card across his or her multiple stores.
      We will use or authorise the use of your information for the following purposes: to process your registration; to respond to your queries or requests; to administer your account and otherwise to undertake any of our obligations to you; to analyse your purchase history; and, only where your prior consent has been obtained, to send you details of products or services which may be of interest to you. It is your responsibility to advise SPAR Head Office of a change to your personal details.
      We control the personal data collected about you in relation to the Card. As part of your application, you will be asked to provide some personal data including your name, email address and mobile phone number. You have the right to require us to correct any inaccuracies in your information. Any queries regarding personal data should be sent in writing to the address below.
      We shall not be responsible or held liable for any default or event arising directly or indirectly from any cause or event beyond our control.
      These Terms and Conditions are governed by English law and subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts.
